Christ Church Cathedral Information and Event Guide

Christ Church Cathedral, the oldest Episcopal church west of the Mississippi, was founded in 1819 as a parish and became a Cathedral on June 4, 1888. The Cathedral building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Long committed to the City of St. Louis, the congregation states in its mission: "We are followers of Jesus Christ whose example inspires us to build creative lives based on love and inclusion. We do this as a community of faith, as an urban parish, and as the Cathedral of the Diocese of Missouri."
